BILLIE SET TO CONQUER US Billie Piper looks set to conquer America. The Swindon-born star's role in Secret Diary of a Call Girl was screened on ITV last year. Now it is tipped to be this summer's big US TV hit, after high-flying New York politician Mark Spitzer was entangled in a sex scandal which mirrored that featured in the show. An insider on Showtime, where the series is due to air, said: "Spitzer's resignation has given the best possible publicity. "Billie is in the right place at the right time. "The producers are ecstatic. The show is certain to be a hit. Everyone is talking about it before it is even on the screen." There is even talk of Billie who plays escort Belle De Jour in the show, being lined up for a film version. Source: This is Wiltshire. |

But things are looking bleak for the Doctor as his lifeless body lays sprawled on the ground. The dramatic scenes are an exclusive glimpse of the new series of Doctor Who, which airs later this year. The Doctor (David Tennant) is blasted by a flying Dalek and ex-assistant Rose (Billie) tries to revive him. The spectacular Dalek invasion of Earth was filmed in the early hours of yesterday morning on the streets of Cardiff. BILLIE'S BABY BLITZ Billie Piper is apparently on a health kick to help her have a baby with her new husband. The Doctor Who star married actor Laurence Fox, 29, on New Year's Eve and the newly weds are already trying for a baby, according to The Daily Star. A source told the newspaper: "They are eating well and looking after their bodies to give them the best chance of conceiving." The 25-year-old actress and her husband are said to have quit alcohol and fast food in favour of an organic diet as part of their new healthy lifestyle. It was previously claimed they were planning to adopt a child, but they are now reportedly keen to conceive a baby of their own. Billie's agent Michael Foster was unavailable for comment. Meanwhile, Billie has apparently confessed she is nervous about returning as Doctor Who's assistant Rose Tyler in the new series. She reportedly revealed: "I am worried about getting back into the groove. I tried playing Rose to myself in my bathroom an I couldn't do it." Source: Metro.co.uk. |
BILLIE PIPER: I'LL ADOPT A POOR KID TELLY stars Billie Piper and Laurence Fox are planning to adopt a baby. Billie, 25, and Laurence, 29, are keen to have a large family. And the couple, who wed in a secret New Year’s Eve ceremony, have told select family and friends they may adopt their first child and give a home to a needy baby. A close source said: “Billie is one of four children and Laurence has a huge extended family. “Her dream is her, Laurence and a big brood of kids running around barefoot in their Sussex home with chickens. Broody “One of the reasons she and Laurence married just a few months after meeting was because Billie was already feeling broody and she wanted to be in wedlock when she started a family.” The source said Billie and Laurence, who was in Gosford Park and stars in TV’s Lewis, have talked about having their own children and added that Billie “loves the idea of helping to give a home to a baby that really needs one”. Doctor Who and Diary of a Call Girl star Billie eloped to Las Vegas without telling her parents to wed first husband Chris Evans in 2001. But the source added: “Billie really sees the value in family much more than she did before. "Her home is a constant flurry of visitors and phone calls, and that’s just how she likes it. “She can’t wait to have her own kids to add to the equation.” Billie said last year: “I’m terribly broody. I haven’t always been. "Back then I thought, I can’t imagine having a child, and only now I really can.” Source: The Sun. |
